Labubu Size Guide

Labubu Sizes & Versions Explained: V1, V2, V3, V4 and Every cm Size in the Range

You've decided you want a Labubu — but a quick search later, you're knee-deep in cryptic abbreviations (V1, V2, V3, V4), conflicting measurements (3cm? 17cm? 58cm?), and acronyms like "vinyl-face" and "mega plush." It's enough to put anyone off.

This guide cuts through it. We'll explain exactly what the V1–V4 numbering means, walk through every Labubu size from tiny keychain charms up to giant display dolls, and help you work out which one is actually right for you — whether you're buying for yourself, hunting a specific gift, or shopping for accessories that need to fit your figure.

What do V1, V2, V3 and V4 mean?

This is the bit that confuses everyone, so let's settle it: V1, V2, V3 and V4 refer specifically to Pop Mart's keychain pendant blind-box releases — not to all Labubu, and not to size versions of the same figure. They're release-order labels for the four main blind-box series. Here's the full breakdown.

V1 — Tasty / Exciting Macaron (October 2023)

The first Labubu blind-box series and the one that started the global craze. Standing 17cm (6.7") tall, these are vinyl-face plush figures in soft macaron-inspired pastel shades. The line-up: Soymilk, Lychee Berry, Green Grape, Sea Salt Coconut, Toffee, Sesame Bean, with Chestnut Cocoa as the rare 1-in-72 secret. (You may see this called "Tasty Macarons" or "Exciting Macaron" — same series.)

Lychee Berry and Soymilk remain some of the most-loved Labubu designs ever produced.

V2 — Have a Seat (July 2024)

The seated series — slightly shorter at 15cm (5.9") seated, because the figures are sitting rather than standing. The line-up of six characters (Baba, Hehe, Sisi, Zizi, Ququ, Dada) each has its own perch and a different sleepy or cheerful expression. The secret is Duoduo, again at 1-in-72 odds. The seated pose makes them brilliantly stable on a shelf — a collector favourite.

V3 — Big into Energy (April 2025)

The bold, furry, tie-dye series. Back to 17cm (6.7") tall vinyl plush pendants, each representing a positive feeling — Love, Hope, Serenity, Loyalty, Happiness, Luck — with that signature tie-dye colourwork across the fur. The secret, known as "ID," has a rainbow gradient in its eyes and rainbow teeth, and is one of the most-prized chases on the resale market.

Big into Energy was a notable design step: softer, fluffier fur than V1, fully posable head, arms and legs.

V4 — Pin for Love (August 2025)

The alphabet series. Instead of a few designs, V4 spans the letters A–Z as individual pendants — typically sold as A-M and N-Z blind boxes. Each is a small vinyl-plush letter charm with a mini Labubu attached, and the secret odds run around 1 in 168 across the range.

Important: V1–V4 isn't all of Labubu

This bit matters. The V1–V4 labels only describe Pop Mart's mainline keychain blind-box releases. Loads of other Labubu sit outside the V-numbering, including:

  • All the large plush dolls (15cm to 58cm+)
  • The Have a Seat plush in its larger formats
  • Designer collaborations (Coca-Cola, Pronounce "Wings of Fortune", etc.)
  • Seasonal series (Halloween "Monster Carnival," "Why So Serious," 10th Anniversary "Monsters by Monsters")
  • One-off display releases like the I Found You Zimomo or Angel in Clouds

So if you read "V1/V2/V3" and panic that you've missed something — relax. It's just shorthand for the four main keychain drops, in release order.

Every Labubu size, explained

Now the sizes themselves. Labubu spans an enormous range, so here's how the formats actually work.

Mini Labubu keychain charms — 3 to 5.5 cm (1.1–2.2")

The smallest format. Tiny plush or vinyl figures, usually paired with a pompom or clip, made to swing freely from a bag, backpack, purse or set of keys. Light enough to take everywhere, characterful enough to be unmistakable. The easiest, lowest-commitment way into Labubu, and a popular impulse-buy.

Bag-charm plush — 10 to 14 cm (4–5.5")

A step up from the minis. Soft-bodied plush charms with a hanging loop, big enough to read as Labubu from a few feet away but still wearable on a bag. The classic "Labubu on a Birkin" look you've seen on Lisa, Rihanna and Dua Lipa.

Standard blind-box pendants — ~15–17 cm (5.9–6.7")

The main collector format. The V1, V3 and V4 keychain pendants stand around 17cm tall; V2 Have a Seat sits at about 15cm because the figure is seated. These are the pieces serious collectors chase — large enough to display properly, small enough to keep a whole series on a shelf, and they come with the Pop Mart Pop Card and packaging that authentication often hinges on.

This is also the 17cm size that almost all Labubu clothes, outfits and accessories are made to fit — so if you're buying outfits, hats, shoes or display cases, this is the dimension to remember.

Medium plush dolls — ~38 cm (15")

A genuine statement piece for a shelf, desk or display cabinet. Big enough to be the centrepiece without dominating the room. Many Popland Exclusive releases (the Mokoko "Close to Sweet," "Fall into Spring" series) sit at this size, and so do a lot of the larger seasonal plush releases.

Large display dolls — 58 cm and up (22.8"+)

The proper "wow" Labubu. Pieces like the I Found You Zimomo (58cm) and Angel in Clouds (58cm) are designed to anchor a whole display — a single figure that becomes the room's focal point. Often sold as numbered or limited releases, with the higher price tag to match.

Mega / giant Labubu — 66 cm to 130 cm (24–51")

The biggest of the bunch — life-sized plush characters that are essentially decor pieces. You'll see them in Pop Mart shop windows and on the shelves of serious collectors with the space (and the budget) to match. Rare in the UK.

Which Labubu size is right for you?

Here's the honest "which one should I buy" cheat sheet:

  • Casual fan, want a little something? → Mini keychain charm (3–5cm) or bag-charm plush (10–14cm). Affordable, instantly cute, easy to gift.
  • Want to actually collect a series? → Standard 15–17cm blind-box pendants (V1, V2, V3 or V4). The classic collector format.
  • Want one impressive piece for a shelf? → Medium 38cm plush. A real statement without needing dedicated display furniture.
  • Want a centrepiece? → Large 58cm display doll. Designed to anchor a whole collection.
  • Buying outfits, shoes or hats? → Make sure they're for 17cm Labubu (or 15cm for some Have a Seat pieces). Most accessories are tailored to this size.

A note on Labubu doll accessories and "fit"

If you're buying outfits, hats, shoes, raincoats or display cases for your Labubu, size is everything. The vast majority of third-party Labubu clothing is made for 17cm Labubu dolls — which covers V1 (Tasty Macaron), V3 (Big into Energy), and most pendant releases. Have a Seat (V2) at 15cm is slightly smaller, so outfits may fit loosely. The tiny mini charms (3–5cm) can't take standard outfits at all — there are far fewer accessories made for them.

Always check what size the accessory lists before buying. "For 17cm Labubu" is the most common standard.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Labubu V1 and V3? V1 is the Tasty/Exciting Macaron series (October 2023, soft pastel macaron-themed designs), and V3 is Big into Energy (April 2025, bold tie-dye designs representing positive feelings). Both stand around 17cm. V2 (Have a Seat) sits between them in release order.

How big is a standard Labubu? The most common Labubu keychain pendants are around 17cm (6.7") tall, except for the seated Have a Seat (V2) figures, which are about 15cm (5.9").

What size is a mini Labubu? Mini Labubu keychain charms are typically 3 to 5.5 cm (1.1–2.2") tall — small enough to clip easily to a bag or set of keys.

Will outfits made for 17cm Labubu fit a Have a Seat (V2)? They may fit loosely, since V2 is slightly smaller at 15cm and is in a seated pose. Most third-party Labubu clothes are tailored specifically for the 17cm standing figures (V1, V3, V4).

Which Labubu size is best for displaying on a shelf? For a single statement piece, the 38cm medium plush is a great balance of presence and space. For a centrepiece, 58cm display dolls like Angel in Clouds or I Found You Zimomo dominate a shelf. For a collection of figures arranged together, the 15–17cm blind-box pendants work brilliantly.
